Gemma Barnett

Before joining The Photographers' Gallery in 2008, Gemma was the the Director of Cultural Projects for Magnum Photos New York where she worked with some of the most revered photojournalists of our time.  This experience, coupled with her work with Human Rights organisations, instilled in her the belief that photography is one of the most potent ways to promote change.

During her time at The Photographers' Gallery, Gemma has discovered and worked with such an extraordinary range of photographers that choosing a single work to save from fire, flood or other disaster would, for her, be an absolute impossibility.
